 Mary Lou's Blog
Thursday, 08 April 2010

I'm on a road trip to New Orleans with a friend who happily is also on a raw living foods lifestyle.  We have found it to be easy.  Before leaving we packed a cooler full of wonderful easy to eat fruits, such as grapes, apples and bananas; some cut up veggies like carrots and celery sticks; some dehydrated flax seed crackers, some pate and a few other items.  We just ate when we felt like it, drank lots of water and had a very enjoyable drive.  Once down here, it was easy to find some organic food to make delicious salads and smoothies with our Vita Mix blender.  Not once have we felt hungry or worried about what we would be eating.  And we have saved a lot of money by not eating in restaurants! I love this lifestyle.  It is so freeing and fun! What I have enjoyed the most on this adventure is walking barefoot in the sand on the beach and in the warm gulf water along the edge.  It has been very grounding and energizing.  There is so much to be grateful for.  All is well.
